Houston, Texas
Blogging has been slow ‘cause we’re stuck! After the BIG storm in San Leon, 2 of our slide toppers gave way and needed to be replaced. We decided to move north a bit to Houston for the multiple choices of places to have the work done. The parts are special ordered (of course!) and, 10 days later, we arrive to have the repairs done and one of the parts is incorrect. So...it looks like another 10 days or so here in Houston.
On the bright side: we have been calling the Elk’s Lodge #151 in Stafford our home since we arrived here. The members make us feel at home and we are joining in their love for football. Boy, do Texan’s love their football; today is Superbowl Sunday!
While in Houston, we take advantage of NASA, the Zoo and Museum, Museum, Museum…
The Giraffe's are my favorite!
This is not me in the morning!
This is not Dale in the morning!
The Museum of Natural Science currently has a Civil War exhibit and Dale got his hands on an authentic lead mini-ball from the war.
We have learned to love H-E-B markets and Sugar Land, a town close to where we’re staying.
We hope to be on our way to New Orleans before Fat Tuesday and then Florida for the Daytona 500!
